Homewares with Character
Creating a cohesive style for designer Helen Russell and her quirky imaginative homewares.
Helen Russell’s work is all about celebrating the joy and solace that nature has to offer, which is a love of mine too, and is maybe why we work together so well. Helen loves to get outside to explore the wilder side of nature while observing animals as they go about their daily lives.
“Lots of ‘welly-wearing’ hours, combined with time spent reading books with beautiful illustrations, have created a playful, happy land that welcomes visitors old and new. Helen’s quirky sense of humour is revealed through her design work, which is then applied to an array of products such as coasters, mugs, greeting cards and stationery. With such a comprehensive range of designs and products, quite a few approaches were used, with settings created to echo the use of the product, whilst others included props to embrace the quirkiness such as sweets and biscuits.

While working with Helen I was introduced to Roy and Ron of Howling Moon PR and now having been in contact with them for a while, I realise how helpful they’ve been to Helen and other mutual clients.
