Eco Seed Card Photography

It’s always great working with products that have a conscience, and these are certainly that.

Styled photograph of a greeting card taken for Hannah Marchant Illustrates

Post a card to a friend, and usually they are thrown away. Not with these cards as once received they can be planted where they serve a wholly new purpose.

Once the occasion has passed the recipient can plant the card, seeds embedded within the card stock itself then grow a wide range of herbs, vegetables, or wildflowers.

Various props used throughout to photograph a range of cards.

The planted card simply biodegrades, I always think reuse is better than recycling, and echoing the philosophy of this designer many of the props, and backgrounds are found objects that have been carefully reinvigorated to provide an authentic setting. I love to use old British-made goods, in particular, old industrial items with their patina and age all helping to add to the story. Alongside pebbles from my local beach, acorn cups and pine cones from a nearby woods emphasising the organic nature of the product.
